From our first meeting to the final touch, our team works with you to make your vision a reality. Rooted in our expert understanding of design and project requirements, we guide complex projects effectively from visualization to delivery. Using computer drawing and visualization technology (Building Information Modeling), no detail is overlooked;  functional elements dovetail with your aesthetic to create a flawlessly executed design.

Meet The Team
William W. Suk AIA
Founder and Managing Principal

Bill is the founder of Suk Design Studio | Architecture. He has over 30 years of experience practicing architecture and interior design for a variety of project types ranging from commercial, institutional, and retail but with a particular expertise in high-end residential design.

 

As the principal designer of SDSA, Bill’s experience and attention to detail helps to produce timeless designs that not only bring joy to his clients but also value to their properties.  Asking the right questions and listening to our clients are the most important paths toward a successful design solution.  His steady leadership and involvement guides projects through the complexities of co-op/condo boards, city agencies, as well as being an ardent advocate for our clients during the construction process. 

 

Registered in New York, Bill studied at The University of Michigan, College of Architecture + Urban Planning. He is also a member of the AIA and an assistant professor (adjunct) at the Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture.

 

While Bill is a native of Michigan, he has fully embraced the life of being a New Yorker, raising his three daughters and fully immersing in the diversity, culture, and energy that can only come with city life. A lifelong musician, Bill is an accomplished violinist and pianist and has served on the Board of the InterSchool Orchestra, supporting youth orchestras in NYC.  He also loves spending time with his family in their second home in Columbia County, NY. 

John C.T. Gordon AIA
Associate Principal

John has over 25 years of experience practicing architecture and interior design for a variety of project types ranging from condominium, commercial, retail, theater, to high-end residential. He specializes in new building projects provided through construction administration, expertise with technical design issues & project leadership. Originally from Ohio, John is registered in NY, NJ, and CT, and has been a Registered Architect since 2004. He received his M. Arch from The University of Michigan, College of Architecture and Urban Planning in Mathematics & B.A. in German Language from Case Western Reserve University. 

 

John is a member of the AIA and was an assistant professor (adjunct) at the New York Institute of Technology. John is also the chairperson of the Maplewood Historic Preservation Commission. This commission advises on the preservation of local landmarks such as Maplewood Memorial Park and other civic structures. He is passionate about Music, Historic Preservation, and Art.

Andrea Yoas Wuersch AIA
Senior Associate Design Director

Andrea is a talented and accomplished designer hailing from Grand Haven, MI. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan and went on to complete her Master of Architecture at the University of Pennsylvania. With seven years of experience specializing in high-end residential projects in New York City, Andrea has established herself as a skilled professional in her field.

 

Andrea’s professional achievements include winning the lighting category at NYC x Design in 2018 for her past design work. She has a particular passion for minimal and clean designs that focus on unique textures, forms, and bespoke details. Inspired by furniture design, Andrea strives to bring comfort and attention to detail into her residential interiors. She is known for her ability to design a space around her client’s needs and style, with a strong emphasis on clear communication to reach that goal. Whether she’s designing a new residence or renovating an existing space, Andrea approaches every project with a level of creativity and enthusiasm that is both inspiring and impressive.

Lexi Cook
Office and Social Media Manager

Lexi has honed her skills in various industries over the last eight years, including event planning, marketing, and business administration. Her expertise in these fields has allowed her to develop a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and exceptional teamwork skills.

Born and raised in Atlanta, GA, Lexi has always been driven by her thirst for knowledge and exploration. She graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Education & Science, accompanied by a Minor in Business Administration.

 

In addition to all of her administrative responsibilities, Lexi also runs the social media for SDSA, a testament to her love for content creation. She also has a keen interest in Haussmann and Second Empire architecture, which she finds captivating and inspiring. In addition, Lexi is drawn to unique, eclectic, and layered interiors, which she sees as an expression of individuality and personal style. Lexi’s passion for teamwork and helping others is evident in all aspects of her life. She strongly believes in the power of collaboration and is always willing to lend a hand whenever she can.

Ross Kuchin
Designer

Ross is a talented and accomplished designer hailing from Princeton, NJ. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Architecture from The University of Michigan Taubman College of Architecture and went on to earn a Master of Architecture from Parsons School of Constructed Environments. 

 

With seven years of experience under his belt, Ross has worked on a diverse range of projects, including high-end residential properties located in some of the most coveted destinations in the United States (New York City, Florida, Martha’s Vineyard, Kiawah, the Hamptons, the Bahamas.) His extensive experience and attention to detail have earned him a reputation as a skilled and dependable architect. Ross brings his unwavering work ethic and motivation to his projects and his life’s passions, including his devotion to pop culture and sports.

Olivia Shyn
Designer

Olivia is a talented designer and drafter with a diverse background. Born in Chicago, IL, she grew up near Zurich, CH, and completed her education in Switzerland. She is fluent in German, Swiss German, English, and French.

 

Olivia has completed a 4-year apprenticeship as a drafter specialized in architecture, as well as a 1-year vocational school for design art and culture. These programs have honed her skills as a designer and drafter. Olivia’s professional achievements include earning a Certificate in drafting specialized in architecture in 2021 and completing her Bachelor of vocational education in design art and culture in 2022. She is passionate about design, travel, and culture, and places a strong emphasis on physical and mental well-being and personal growth. Olivia is also an avid photographer, using her camera to capture the beauty of the world around her.
